Refrigerant Reclaim System
CV Series

Reclaim for Profit
Reclaiming refrigerant should be a major source of revenue in your day-to-day activities. Consider the savings if you reclaim only the refrigerant you are now releasing. Include the amount you can save in your testing/maintenance activities and the amount you can "pull" from each cylinder before you send it back.
Our system pumps vapor and takes a system or cylinder to required EPA vacuum levels.

Protect the Environment
Protection of the ozone is everybody's responsibility...especially those of us in the industry who use CFC's. Reclaiming refrigerant is one of the more positive steps towards meeting that challenge. When combined with the obvious economic benefits it makes even more sense.

Don't Just Retrieve - Reclaim
The Van Steenburgh System reclaims refrigerant to the maximum. There is a difference. Our system incorporates many unique features which provide maximum separation of oil, acid, hard particle contaminants, moisture and air. There is no comparison.

Maximum Separation Oil, Acid and Moisture
The Van Steenburgh system provides maximum oil, acid, and oil separation through its unique method of pumping the high velocity and high temperature into the Separation Chamber as it drops to near zero velocity. This causes the oil, acid, water and hard particle contaminants (chopper chips, etc.) to drop to the bottom where they can be retrieved along with the maximum amount of retrievable oil. No other system does this.

Sub Cooling
The vapor from the Separation Chamber passes through the compressor to the air condenser where it is condensed to liquid. It then passes to the chill chamber where it is sub cooled to 15° to 40°F. This aids in the transfer of the refrigerant to cylinder or system at room temperature or warmer. It also enhances the drying/filtering process. No other system does this.

Drying/Filtering
Sub cooled refrigerant dries more efficiently. We take advantage by recirculating the sub cooled refrigerant at the rate of 300 - 400 lbs. an hour (average based on ambient range). This means maximum drying. No other system does this.

Pump Vapor
The Van Steenburgh system employs compressor liquid injection during vapor removal This means we pump a cylinder or system to atmospheric pressure without harm to the compressor! Get those last pounds. Don't send them back to the vendor with your empty cylinders. No other system does this.

Air Separation
The combination of sub cooling, which causes the air to rise quicker, and the onboard storage where the refrigerant is constantly being recirculated, means maximum air separation. The "air out" switch allows you to purge this air. No other system does this.

Additional Features:

  • Oil site gauge on compressor

  • Float valve safety shut-off on storage/chill chambers (backed by 3 additional safety shut-offs) to prevent overfilling on-board storage

  • Laboratory quality gauges

  • Visual check points on face of system to monitor drying

  • "Straight Through" capability

  • Meets all EPA certification requirements

  • Pumps to required vacuum levels with no harm to the compressor

  • Reclaims 12, 22, 502, 500 and all alternative refrigerants in the same range

  • UL listed
