Super Seal Pro Installation Instructions

Cliplight Super Seal Pro seals leaks fast and is designed for easy and speedy installation by professional technicians. Larger leaks where the refrigerant is totally lost within two weeks may need component replacement.

The vacuum packed can contains a moisture-activated formulation that hardens to form a permanent seal at the leak point(s) in condensers, evaporators, accumulators, metal lines, and compressor flanges. The formulation also contains conditioners and sealers that penetrate and rejuvenate the o-rings, gaskets, hoses and other rubber/polymer components of the a/c system combined with a drying agent to eliminate moisture in the system.

Pressure, heat, and the absence of significant moisture inside the air conditioning system prevents the sealant from hardening until it leaks out.

Super Seal Pro remains in the system on alert for future leaks and is ideal as part of a preventative maintenance program.

INSTRUCTIONS

Note: Due to the possibility of high levels of moisture, especially in older vehicles, it would be advisable to first replace the receiver-dryer accumulator before installing Super Seal Pro.
  cw = clockwise
ccw = counter clockwise
  1. Recover refrigerant in the a/c system.
  2. Vacuum a/c system for 5 minutes only. Note: If you cannot reach 25" vacuum within 5 minutes and hold above 23" for 5 minutes there may be a single hole too large for Super Seal Pro™ to repair. Alternatively, there may be an equal area of smaller holes that can be repaired.
  3. Draw and hold a deep 29" vacuum for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Turn handle "A"  ccw until the pierce pin "B"  is below washer.
  5. Carefully screw the can "C" onto the tap hose "B" .
  6. Remove low side vacuum service hose and attach tap hose "D" to low-side port. Note: For R12 or R22 a/c systems, temporarily install a low side R134a retrofit fitting (Cliplight part #20125) with a schraeder depressor pin to adapt to the R12/R22 low side port.
  7. Continue to draw vacuum for 1 minute to eliminate air in tap hose.
  8. Remove the tap hose "D" from the low side service port.
  9. Recharge the a/c system to specifications.
  10. Turn on a/c and start engine. Always check system low/high pressures before using Super Seal Pro.
  11. Stop engine and re-attach hose "D" to the low side service port.
  12. Turn handle "A" cw until it stops.
  13. Turn handle "A" ccw to charge can.
  14. Turn handle "A" cw to close the valve.
  15. Start engine with the a/c system on.
  16. Holding the can upside down, turn handle "A" ccw to open valve. Shake can to determine when empty.
  17. Remove and dispose of tap hose: do not reuse.
  18. Run a/c system for at least 20 minutes to allow Super Seal Pro to circulate.
